The Basics – Ingredients
Every good chocolate chip cookie is made up of 5 basic ingredients-
-100g Chocolate Chips
The recipe ( actually very basic too)
1- Soften the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds
2-Add your sugar and beat until smooth
3-Add your eggs and beat until smooth
4- Add your flour and incorporate to make a smooth dough
5-Fold in your chocolate chips
The tricky part – Baking
If your using a fan assisted oven then you want a temperature of around 170C. If your using a normal conventional oven then you want 180C.
Lining the tray?
This very much depends on your baking tray, if you have non stick baking tray you shouldn’t need to line it. However if you want to be cautious you can use baking parchment or even foil.
form small dough balls (roughly 35g) and make sure you leave gaps between them on the tray as they will spread
DO NOT USE silpat mats! Unless you actually like flat crispy cookie, we don’t judge.
If you like your cookies soft on the inside and crisp on the outside 7-10 minutes should be enough time in the oven.
If you like your cookies a little harder set then probably 11-15 minutes is best.
Be aware the cookies will set as they cool down, so don’t try moving them straight away.
